I made it out to Splendora today. This weekend, I think they allow ATVs to run on the MX track on Sunday afternoon. I just stuck to the 300' sand Drag Strip. It was fun, but I was the only one on the drag strip today...I guess the other drag racers were out hunting???

Have fun at MBs tomorrow. Tomorrow, I'm planning to go to Splendora MX and make some passes on their 300' sand drag strip. I haven't been there in 6 weeks or so and I can't wait to get out there.

Another option for you is General Sams located just north of Huntsville. This 700acre atv park is mostly flat and not terribly technical, so a newbie should be ok there...just stick to the permeter trails until she gets a little more confident and then you can venture into the other trails. ...

Sounds good Randy. I was just on the phone with Glenn yesterday to ask him some questions about my quad. He mentioned your motor and also another person with a 900 (he had blown headgasket problems). I hope you get the 840 motor back from Glenn soon (if you haven't already).

I don't understand. Why is it almost impossible to ride on their MX track? I was there yesterday afternoon and not many people were on the MX track...plenty of room for more riders. I was there the weekend before and it was the same story on Sunday afternoon (not sure how busy it was on Saturday tho).

If I were you, I'd drive to Mudbuddy's atv park near Halletvsille, TX. Its a fun park with alittle bit of everything...MX track, dirt drag strip, wooded trails around the perimeter and beside a small river. For directions and info, go to www.mudbuddys.com

You need to slap some paddle tires on the hybrid and bring it to Splendora MX park! They just opened a new 300' sand drag strip with guard rails, tree and timers/time slips.
