98 honda foreman es won't start

i bought a 98 foreman today and the guy said that he was going across the pasture when it just died. i got it home and i am getting fuel and spark. my question is if i am getting both fuel and spark and my run switch is on what else could my problem be. it turns over like it should but seems like the kill switch is on

bad gas, something in the carb, low compression, restriciton in the airbox, intake boot torn,.....just a few possibilities
