This depends on the bike. On Hondas it works great, but on Kawasaki it will take the clear coat off the motor leaving it clean but a dull gray and the bolts rust.

If it were me I would test it in an area like the underside to see how it does before I did the whole motor.

Go to your local 18 wheeler parts supply house and buy you a gallon of fuel tank and wheel brightener. about $11.00 a gallon but will last for ever as you have to dilute it anywhere from 20 to 200 parts water depending on you needs ( how bad the aluminum looks)

It works better than anything else we have ever tried. but follow the directions and the warnings as it is really strong.

NOTE: if the aluminum has a clear coat (IT WILL BE GONE) but then you can keep it really clean really easy.

DO NOT PUT IT ON YOUR WHEELS THEY ARE COATED AND IT WILL MESS THEM UP

Other than that you can't beat it. If you would like the brand we use I will look after the rain stops and let you know..
