JUST THE FACTS

 

DEC 5   dropped wheeler of at 1 PM

           informed it had 1 stripped axle rear

                                   2 front broke cv's

                                    bad tbap sensor

           under extended warrant, was told they would get on it

 

DEC 13  I was told was waiting on warrant REP to check on bike 

 

DEC 19  I was told  REP was on vacation for Christmas would not be back until after New Years

              He would look at it the day after New Years 

              and GENES would be closed between Christmas and New Years 

 

JAN 3    Called and was told REP had not been there, they would check on it

 

JAN 9   Called at 3PM was told REP had not been there and they would check on it

             RETURN CALL AT 4 PM SAID THEY DENIDED THE CLAIM

 

JAN 10   Picked wheeler up at 1 pm

              CHARGED $200 FOR REMOVAL OF 4 AXLES

              got it home at 2pm  installed 3 axles, lift, ate supper,and 3 long phone calls

              was done by 9 pm.  Just waiting on 1 front axle and im ready to go

 

                I have no problem with the warranty being voided. Abuse  "who me"

 

       IT'S THE FIVE WEEKS TO LET ME KNOW, SOMETHING THAT "YOU" DECIDED IN
        LESS THAN AN HOUR

That tells me a lot abbout their service department. They have a place on their web site for comments.

From what I see the dealer must have called the warranty people and when asked about your bike the dealer must have said it had signs of abuse. The dealer screwed you on this one. I mean at 3 they had not seen or heard from him and by 4 they had a written refusal. Sounds fishy to me. I guess if you were a Triangle boy, you would have got it done in a week with no questions asked. Look at their videos and see how they abuse but still get warranty service. Nice.

I agree with AC when I take my bike over there its in and out in 3 days.  Normally covered under warranty.  I have a few friends that ride with them all the time.. 

yeah, i think it's bull.  richard, usuually when i talk to you your always easy going, but when u were over at my place the other day and i asked about the PO  u kinda came unglued.  I dont blame you!

 

service is everything.  but i guess at genes, its WHO you know RIGHT?  sucks

Sorry to hear that I have never had a bike in there for more than a week and I have never associate with the triangle boys or do I plan on it.Last time I took a bike in they told me that the manufacture was getting strick on covering the warranty work and they get in no hurry in approving anything.They should have told you there would be a very slim chance that they were going to warranty they work because of the circumstances

SAME WAY WITH HIGHLANDS KAWASAKI....  MY DAD WAS GONNA BUY ONE FROM THERE THEN WE DECIDED TO BUY FROM ANOTHER PLACE.  I ASKED THEM IF THEY WOULD SERVICE IT... THEY SAID IF YOU DONT BUY IT FROM THEM , THEN THEY WONT SERVICE IT.  STARIGHT UP JACKASS IF YOU TELL ME.   EVEN AT GENE'S, IF YOU LOOK UP PARTS ON THERE WEB PAGE PARTS FINDER, THE CALL EM FOR THE PART, ITS ALWAYS HIGHER THEN WHAT THERE WEB PAGE SHOWS....  AND THEY WONT GIVE IT TO YA FOR THAT PRICE.....  WENT IN TO BUY A HEAD GASKET, PRICE AT STORE VS THERE WEB PAGE WAS 19 BUCKS HIGHER.....

I think the web page is normal oem price. I guess they add the convience tax to it   

 Never been a fan of Gene's. Only thing good I had with them, is they have every part there, might pay dealer, but when you can have it same day, worth is to me.

I don't know who you dealt with up there but I've known Gene, his son Matt and a few of the mechanics up there for about 10 years and for the most part they are really good guys that really try to treat people right. Now from experience the way polaris handles their warrenty claims and recalls often leaves a lot to be desired. And a lot of times the dealership has little say or control is those matters. But sorry to hear you had to go through all that and I hope you don't have to go through that hassle again.

Read the time line. The rep never showed up. The Service manager took care of him over the phone.

Well guys I don't know how it will turn out but my bike is over there getting a new stator put on.  Droped it off and was told it will be ready to roll friday.  All I can say is we will see.  As this should be covered under warranty..

the only think i like bout them is they have parts in stock.

Well I got it back today..  Eerything was fixed underwarranty.  I still don't really know why you had those problems dozer.

The guy told me that he had one tech and 50 jobs to do

I think he just did not want to mess with it, could have told me that.

I still have not got a letter from the warranty people, so who knows they may have never come and looked at the thing.

Still a bunch of B/S told hold it for 5 weeks.

Still got the same fellings for them

It's really not our fualt your bike wasnt covered under warranty, that decision (as you obviously know) comes from polaris and they apparently said no to your machine. And as others have wrote, polaris is cracking down on warranty items and they do take forever on some jobs to get an answer back, so before you start bashing our dealership you need to learn the facts.
