CCPOWERSPORTS:Have You Ever Heard The Saying " Dont Crap In Your Own Back Yard"? We Will Be Ready To "take Care Of You" When You Come In For Your Next Service. We Appreciate Your Buisness. Its Good To Know That After Giving Customers Like You Good Deals On Product, That They Turn Around AND Say Negative Things About You To Strangers Instead Of Taking It Up With The Service Manager. Some Times It Takes A While To Fix Units When The Customers Dont Want To Take Responsability For Normal Wear & Tear Items, Or If Parts Are On Back Order. If Any Other Problems Come Up Again, Next Time Come Visit The Service Manager At The Store And Im Sure He Will Have Some Thing To Say. Thanks Again For The Positive Feed Back.
Parts & Service Director
First and formost i had to beat the sales guy to death on the price about the bike a purchased, it was marked way up and had been sitting in your lot for almost 3 years, Secondly i called before hand to ask if i could bring the bike in for its first maintence session, C&C said yes, so i loaded up and went over when i got there, they sent me away with the bike still in the bed of my truck saying they were to busy to take it, so next week i brought it back, dropped it off it was there for 2 days, when i picked it up, i brought it home, my air filter was never changed or cleaned, and my chain was never tightend or clean, however you did change my oil, so i thank you for that..but who knows if i got a new oil filter in there or not ?, and im not even gonna get into what happend to my friends bike, thats a whole nother story,
and besides all this ,I did bring it up to the service manager and he told me to bring it back in but i declined, i figured if you cant do it rght the first time then dont do it at all.

I don't know this atv dealer, and I've never heard of it for that matter. However, I have used a few atv dealers in my area for service and repair work, and I can tell you that waiting 2 days to get your quad serviced is actually pretty good IMO. I recall going to several shops that had 3 week wait times or longer before they could even BEGIN the work on my quad...of course, the wait times for service work all depends on what time of the year you bring it in.
With that said, I think its very troubling to hear that the dealership didn't bother to clean your airfilter or lube/adjust your chain. If they care about your business, I'm sure they will do whatever they can to correct the problem ASAP. (hopefully they will reprimand the responsible employees too).
In any case, I do not think its wise for the dealerships to come on a public forum and BASH its customers for speaking their mind!!! Talk about BAD PUBLICITY! I would never do business with a dealership that publicly bashed its customers online or elsewhere. If an atv dealer does not want a bad reputation, it should remember two things...1) Always offer a good product/service for a fair price, and 2) the CUSTOMER is always right!
Happy trails...:)

i would have to agree with mikeboy esq. i'm not even close to this area, but, after reading the shops reply - wow! a service manager openly and publicly issueing a threat for the next visit!?? at least, it sure sounded that way.
what is that about?
there is always two sides to the story, but a buisness CAN'T openly voice an opinion like that, even if the company is completely in the right.
i would avoid driving down the street that this place is on!

yea i have delt with them a few times and always a hassle. but honestly i don't expect anything good from dealerships, the ones here in the upper valley are a real pain. i think this stinky service comes from the fact that it is the only suki dealer close by unless you wanna travel some serious miles. that being said, your stuck giving them your business (unless you do it your self or go to "all terrain center" thats even worse.)

RE : C&C Motorsports in Mcallen & Haringen
well said guys i completely agree, i mean he's basic threating me or my quad for that matter, who knows what whould happen if i weant back to them, but im useing a diffrent cycle shop now for all my needs the guy is fair and has been a buiss for many years i really should have bought from him but he just didnt have what i was looking for at the time,
But nuff said about this place the people in the area know about there service problems i dont need to tell my stories, and ur right j crazy there the only suzuki dealer with in 150 miles, i almost went to corpus to buy my quad but didnt wanna hassle, with it, but i heard theres a zuk dealer opening up in Brownsville next year so that will be good. Anyway, thanks for the support guys and always keep a look out.

CCPOWERSPORTS:If This Is The Only Way We (dealerships) Can Stick Up For Our Selves, So Be It. We Dont Have Time For Complaints About Services We Provide For Free. Some People Are Just Ungreatful. As For Threats, No Threats Were Issued Except For The Threat Percieved By A Simple Response. I Am Sure If More Research Was Done, It Would Be Discovered That All Powersports Dealers Have Certain Problems To Contend With. Its Called Life! I Invite Any Customers To Come In And Talk To Us About Any Issues That Need To Be Resolved. Hiding Behind Forums Doesnt Get Anything Done. I Also Invite Any Customers To Come In And Take Advantage Of Our Oil Change Service Special Of $48.98 And Our Watercraft Winterizing Special Of 145.44 Thanks Everybody For Your Time.
Look C&C im just stateing the obvious, about your customer service department, and it seems to me that not only have some members of the forum had problems with your service but so have many of my friends. BTW 48.98 for a oil change on a quad is extreamly over priced, i can do it my self for $15.00 and im sure that majority of the people on this forum are well enough mechanically inclined to take care of there own bikes with out getting ripped off.

48.98:eek:
wow, that is prolly a competative price for a dealer but that is why i hate all dealerships. i'd rather i do it for 8 bucks and be finished in 15 min, so i will continue to do it myself.

RE : C&C Motorsports in Mcallen & Haringen
Lets See....most OEM oil filters are 8.95 - 12.95. Add on 4 qts of 4 cycle ATV/Motorcycle oil at about 3.50 per qt. Now your at 22.95 - 26.95 + Tax. Mechanics dont work for free except maybe in their own garage working on their friends units. So...add 1/2 hour for labor. Most shops down here range from 55.00 - 70.00 per hour. So labor is anywhere from 27.50 - 35.00. So now we are looking at total price without tax at 50.45 - 61.95. So...yeah. I would have to say that 48.98 is a pretty competitive price for a dealer to charge for an oil change.
Everyone thinks that there is a lot of markup in the Motorcycle/ATV/Watercraft market. When honestly...there isnt. Yeah..you can go and get a oil change done on your car or truck for 23.00 - 26.00 dollars. However...car oil and motorcycle/atv oil are NOT the same.

RE : C&C Motorsports in Mcallen & Haringen
hey jwilliams, i suppose ccpowersports rounded up some of his buddies since you are new to the boards and also from the rgv. first of all i wanna say welcome to texasatvs.com and i am very excited that more local people are signing on here (even if it was originally for a bash fest). i think the real problem has to do with lack of competition. i stated that ccpowersports was the only suzuki dealer around here. same thing goes to valley yamaha, they have 2 stores (mcallen and harlingen) but if you want a local yammy then you go through them. since they are the only boys in town, it almost guarantees them a strong steady amount of clients. i think this causes them not to pay attention to the individual needs of customers because they have too much work on there hands anyways.
on a side note you must remember that my price comparison of 48.98 with 8 bucks was biased. i ride a raptor that fortunately has an external oil filter exactly the same as a nissan xterra (part#6607) so i can get it at any local auto shop and my bike only takes 2qts of oil.

LOL How many quads do you know that require 4 quarts of oil? LMAO I own a Twin Peaks 700 and it only takes 2 quarts to fill it up.
Also, most folks can use an equivalent aftermarket filter from Walmart on their quad... The fram motorcycle filter that I use from Walmart only costs me $4.50. Add 2 quarts of good motor oil from Walmart and I'm still under $13 including tax. IMO, there's no way you can justify a $48 oil change on a quad. Nice try tho! :D
Happy trails...:)
