Exciting news!

All members now get more diskspace to upload your favorite photos & videos!
Below is the new diskspace changes:

Basic = 150 meg

adv1 = 300 meg

adv2 = 600 meg

adv3 = 1,500 meg (1.5 gig)

Previously the diskspace was:

Basic = 25 meg

adv1 = 75 meg

adv2 = 300 meg

adv3 = 600 meg

Media Center

Has everyone had a chance to play with the media center?

Just a quick note, you can now upload your media to the media center and copy the embedded code for a image & video and post it into the forum instead of having to manually upload to each post.

Also, you can now TAG photos, when you upload a photo, you will see the option when looking at it. When you TAG another user in the photo it will then show the photo on the other users profile and show a box over the individual in the photo.

Well the time has finally come to prepare for the launch of the new Texas ATVs!!! We will be taking this site down first thing Monday morning, Nov 19th, to begin moving the data over to our new website. The transition will take most of the day on monday, and hopefully will switch over sometime late monday evening. What we will need from you guys is: Please Please make sure your email address is correct for an easy transition. The passwords will not migrate, so when you go to the login page of the new website, you will click the link that says "first time to new TexasATvs". This link will send you a temporary password through your email and this will allow you access to your account!!!! Also PLEASE save ANY photos from the forums or photogallery as these will not transfer over. I will be available to answer any questions all day & also you will find a contact link to get in touch with us. With this being the first rollout of our new site design we know there will be some bugs. Please post any bugs/errors you find in the forums and we will have these fixed ASAP. Upgrading Server

I will be taking down the website in a little while this evening in order to upgrade to a faster server. With all the continued growth it is now time to upgrade the server in order to keep up with the speed and traffic. New Quad Only MX Track -- Buffalo Valley

The owner?s name is Tom and he has been working on this track for about 4 years. It was originally for his son who races quads, but now Tom is open to letting ONLY quad riders use it for $10 a day. I?ve only been out to the track a couple of times, and thus far I?m very impressed. Unlike the majority of MX tracks that are designed for our two-wheeled counterparts, Buffalo Valley?s track is designed around the quad, thus making for a fun track to ride from beginners on up. It has large jumps that have forgiving downsides, and wide turns that are banked. Tom is open to phone calls and has given me permission to post his cell number?210.845.2017. Please give Tom a call if you have any questions regarding Buffalo Valley ATV MX track. Tom?s reasons for keeping this track up and opening it to other quad riders are due to his love for quads and our sport. From IH-10 (Between San Antonio & Seguin) take exit #593 for Trainer Hale Rd./FM 2538. Take a right (South) on Trainer Hale Rd./FM 2538 and drive approximately 5.4 miles. The entrance to Buffalo Valley?s ATV MX track will be on your left and is only marked by a 2?x2? cardboard sign that has an arrow pointing to the left towards a dirt road and the words ?ATV MX? on it. Follow the dirt rode until it turns right (their will be an even smaller cardboard sign with the words ?MX? and an arrow pointing to another dirt road to the right. After turning right, keep on going until you reach on open field past a tree line. You then to turn left going through a gate that leads down another dirt road that has on old house at the end of it. The track should be on your left-hand side and you will be able to see large earth moving machinery (bulldozer/front-end loader). Drive down to the old house and that is where you can park and off-load.

Site Downtime

The datacenter that hosts the website had a major outage and seems not everything came back online. I was unaware of this untill I recieved a phone call from one of our members. Now everything is back up and should not have any further issues. The New design is now installed and complete!! If you have not seen the design yet, click the drop down box at the bottom of the screen and switch to TexasATV, underneath Texas ATV lite. You can also set it to the primary design in your "user cp". Once you are in your user cp, go to options, then at the very bottom you can set it as the primary style. I have the new chat software installed. Click the link at the top of the forums to try it out. Or go here: http://www.texasatvs.com/chat/flashchat.php? You now can use your forum names in the chat so if you are logged in in the forums it will automatically log you into the chatroom with your username. Also, If you look at the bottom of the forums you will be able to see who is in the chat room currently. Please check it out and let me know what you think! Hope ya enjoy! Brandon

Moved to New Server!

As some of you may have noticed TexasATVs.com moved servers this morning. The forums should be a lot faster and not slow down and lose connection anymore. Can anyone notice a difference in server speed yet? Also, there is still quite a few bugs and issues that still need to be fixed. If you notice something that needs to be fixed, please let me know. I am also working on adding some additional features and you should see a new design coming very soon. The shoutbox is no longer on the forum home page, I may add this back later. Do you guys want the shoutbox back? You probably notice a chat link in the Navigation bar at the top of the forums. This will sync with your existing login on the forums and you will be able to chat and see who is in the chat on the forums homepage. Also, webmail, and the photogallery are currently down until we can get all the bugs fixed from the upgrade and transfer. The arcade has been upgraded and currently only shows 5 games, all the other games will be re-added soon and also a new collection of games. Overall, the move was a positive move for us and you should start seeing some new features and design soon. If you have any questions, comments, or see anything wrong(bugs/errors with the website) please post here. Thanks, Brandon

TexasATVs update

I would like to apologize for my absense the last few months. I have been extremely busy lately with work and lots of other things but I am finally back in Texas now and I am going to be further working on this website to make it much better. As some of you may know, I have been working on a full redesign. I went through some road bumps with this, but it is almost complete. I will also be adding a lot more smilies for all you guys. Is there anything else that I can do to make this place better? Anything that you would like to see here that is currently not available? I know the server has been slow lately. I noticed we just hit 3,000 members today and the current server has had trouble keeping up. I purchased a dedicated server a few months back to test everything and make sure I can handle the change to a different server. Hopefully in the near future will make the change to the faster server... But I would like to Thank each one of you members out there that has contributed to this website and has enabled TexasATVs.com to be what it is today. From when I started this website when I was 16 to today, it has developed into something great for all of us ATVers out there. This would not have been possible without YOUR help. Okay guys seems I have no life lately and have been working only on the forums when not working. I have added a shoutbox to the forums and You all can use this to chat back and forth. Instead of post whoring and going off topic in the thread, use the shoutbox or start a new thread. Make sure you keep the shoubox clean, no bad language, keep it clean and friendly or it will be removed. I have also added a new style that when you access the forums directly on your pda or cell phone it will pull up on your phone. You should be able to view threads and posts and reply. Let me know if there are any issues with this as I am still working on this. Have a good weekend everyone!
