TORN 2010 Race Schedule

TORN has posted the 2010 ATV race schedule on their web site, tornracing.com. Also their first race this year is October 24, in Gordon, TX. I believe this is just a try them out race before the 2010 season starts. Other info has been put on the ATV section of their web site with more to come.

I am considering having a XC riding school over the summer break in Muenster. I was wondering who might be interested in attending the school. I have just started looking into it so the date, time, and price has not been set yet. I wanted to see what kind of response I would have first to see if it justified having a school, private lessons, or both. If you are interested please email me and besure to leave your name, telephone#, and any other contact info that you wish to provide.

I would also like suggestions from you the attendee, what you are looking for from the class or what you would like to see in the class. I would also like to get a feel from you the length of the class 3hr, 6hr, 1, 2 day etc, and wether or not during the week or weekend would be better.

Some items would include, proper riding technique, different ways to read terrain, high speed cornering, hill climbing/ decending, bike setup, suspension setup, suspension tuning, etc.....

STX-ATV WILL GIVE ALL PRO RACERS A FREE MEMBERSHIP, ALL PRO RACERS MUST REGISTER BEFORE THURSDAY THE 5TH OF MARCH IN ORDER TO RECIEVE THEIR FREE MEMBERSHIP.....

HERE IS WHAT YOU GET FOR BEING A MEMBER....

STX-ATV MEMBERSHIP

Membership Dues. STX-ATV membership is a annual fee of $100.00

and is payed per rider. This not mandatory to race STX-ATV, rather for those

racers that plan on making it the duration of the Series. The membership will

take $10.00 off per race entry fee,per race.($240.00 value). The membership

also includes free race weekend photos and movie clips(pictures and video

which highlight STX-ATV race weekend which will be sent to members email

(downloadable)or mailed to you. All members will recieve a monthly

newsletter recaping the race weekend winners, sponsors and up coming

events. All members will be racing for points. At the end of the 12 race

season the 1st place finisher from each class will be eligible to trade their

accumulative points for dollars. First in class. For Example, 1st in Pro, or 1st

in Open Utility. In order to be eligible to trade points for

dollars the member must race in 9 out of the 12 events(minimum) .

The ATVCCS series will be having a 10 hour race open to both bikes and quads (Yes on the track at the same time). The date is January 18th 2009 and it will be just outiside of Gilmer Texas.

I am sad to announce that Ken Watkens passed away 10/22/08 from an apparent heart attack. Him and his son Brock

raced in the atvccs series for several years. He will be greatly missed by all the Dirt Devil staff. Our prayers go out to the

family.

Josh managed to lose the kickstarter off his quad at the last race. Almost two weeks ago now I bought one off eBay. The seller has sold over 15000 items and has 99+% feedback. Well... he aparently hasn't shipped my part and has not answered any of the 5 emails that I have sent requesting information.

So, does anyone happen to have a kickstarter off of an 04 or 05 Honda 450r (or later if they will work) that they will sell me, or maybe let us borow for the A races on Sunday?

He lost everything, lever and bolt, all thats there now is the splined shaft sticking out of the side of the motor.
