I have been reading about Artic Cats in shoot out tests and they all say the 500cc model gets wild at higher speeds but they do'nt say what higher is! Anyone out there have a 500 Cat with manual shift that put a set of radials on it? Was wondering if it would help the problem. :Thinking

New Prowler RUV (side x side): Comes with H1 motor, 14" wheels, 14" of ground clearance, and 4.00:1 gearing in diffs. 650 V2: New 4.00:1 gears (3.60:1 gears in '05 and '04), Heavier duty frame and rubber mounted engine and an orange le package with Tony Stewart numbers and signature. H1: Still only available in black for the time being. (Arctic Cat is producing 1000 H1 engines per month, 500 for the new Prowler and 500 for the H1. A dealer at the show said there were 1000 dealers attending and each ordered 3 Prowler RUV's and 2-3 H1's. He said that number of orders would account for the next 6 months of production of the H1 motor.) 500: Changed the exhaust to the same type as the H1. (Supposedley increased top speed by 3 mph.) 400: Changed exhuast to same type as H1 and now comes with the newer bodystyle plastics. No more 300 model. Two new 250 models. One a "DVX 250" sporty styling and a utility styled 250. DVX 400: Supposedly only offered in orange for '06.

i would like to know some input on the Arctic Cats...i was looking at the two seater Bombardier and the kittie. and now i`m keep going back to the kittie 500 Le ..i just don`t know which one to get the auto or manel...i`m not going to be real crazy on it but i want to be able to play with the big dogs and not just watch them play...i have a 250 ozark now and my step son want to ride and PaPa Smurf wants a new ride to play on ...so hope to here more on witch one will be ok with...thanks

I heard they suck! :D J/K I really like the 650 that I had a chance to see up close. Got some 28x12x12 MudLites under the fenders no problem. I've seen them go really deep out at Mels. I think they have something going for them...using the V-Twin from Kawasaki (they still have Kawasaki on the side of the belt cover and the pull start) and having fully independant suspension. True the BruteForce has FIS but I like the front end on the AC650 a lot better. I don't know exactly what diff is up front but it will engage without rolling the tires unlike Kawie.
