Yamaha repair in Lake Jackson area?

I've got a broken 99 Big Bear down in Sargent with the in-laws and it seems the front axle or CV joint is busted. 4wd will not engage. Does anyone know of a reputable shop or mechanic in that area? I'm 2000 miles from the machine so I'm not much help and they aren't 4 wheeler savvy.

Hey Folks, Lemme bounce this one off you, Grizz 07 goes great but if it dies in gear the 'Start in Gear' feature doesn't work:confused: Normally you press the rear brake or left grip it'll fire right up - now I have to get into neutral or park......any ideas..... R.

Raptor Won't Start

I have an '01 Raptor 660, and the engine won't start. I was riding it yesterday, but when I cut it off and tried to re-start it, it wouldnt. When you turn the key on the lights and everything works. But when you push the button to start it, the starter just spins. Could it be the Starter Clutch?

Does anybody know if there is a dual exhaust out there that is almost as quiet as stock and still has spark arrestors (so I can drive on public land) that'll boost performance? Has anybody tried at 11:1 piston? What's the performance gain? Can you still burn pump gas?

Alright...just put my quad back together. For those of you that didn't know...I added a 11:1 piston, Hotcam, and ported the head. I just got back from my break in ride. Let's just say that the rings are now seated NICELY. I ran it through a few heat cycles of my regular riding style. It definately has pretty noticeable gains. It comes up much easier and you can almost just burp it to keep it up. Power wheelied across a foot ball field without a problem. I am not talking about slow balance wheelies either. I will be hunting for more food for the Grizz this weekend. You can check out MY GARAGE by clicking HERE.

big bear carb. problems

my 2003 big bear is leaking gas out of the bowl when it is off. the bowl is closed like it is supposed to be and i think that all of the hoses are in the right places...we took of the air lid to see if the air box was clean.. AND THE AIR BOX WAS FILLED TO THE TOP WITH GAS . has any one ever heard of the air box being filled with gas?

I just returned from Lake City, Colorado with my Polaris and Grizzly. I learned last year to rejet the Polaris to get it to run well, and found it to be pretty easy.I didn't know how or have the jet to do the same for the Grizz and it really suffered above 10,000 feet. I made it up to the top of Bristol Head at 12,800 ft., but it really ran like crap. Any one had any experience with what to do to alter an 02 Grizzly for a vacation trip at high altitude?
