Just dropping in and saying hi.

Found this sight looking for places to ride. I recently picked up a Suzuki Quadrunner to ride with friends who have ATVs. I also have a Honda XR400. If any of you guys know any places around Katy and Cypress send me a PM. The retention pond out here is fun, but some variety would be nice, and trails would be good too.

Look farward to enjoying ATVs and maybe meeting some folks.

Hi all, went searching on Google for Texas riding spots and I found this forum. Good to see how active this forum is!

I'm from Houston, but currently living in Austin. I race cars, kiteboard and fly model airplanes..or pretty much anything thats an extreme sport. Recently I rode a friend's Yamaha Raptor 660 and fell in love with quads again. I've always wanted to get a race quad since I got my first atv back in 1995, a 300cc Honda Fourtax. I still have it to this day, but its used for farm utility. Looking to pick up a new or used Yamaha YFZ450 around this holiday season. Anybody know where I can find the best deal on a new one in the Austin, Houston, or DFW area?

Anyway, hope to get something soon so I can get out to the tracks and trails. Racing cars is fun, but I'm ready to do some offroading!

Now that I live in Arizona I don't get to ride much in Texas. However I thought i would shre a few pics from our Labor Day camp and ride. We did about 450 miles in the Coconino National Forest close to Stoneman Lake.

No, I am not asking for a date! I am a lady myself! Just looking for fellow females who would like to ride together sometime! I am new to all this, but so far really enjoy it! I live by Hobby Airport in Houston. I recently got a 2008 Honda Rancher 420 4x4, I call her "Big Black Bertha"! I have been practicing next door in my 1/2 acre horse yard. I have not been to any parks yet, working on that! Trying to get all the gear I need, so far I have a helmet and gloves, its a start. Wondering what else is really needed??

Anyway, I got kids.. a 5 and an 8 yr old, girls, who enjoy riding as well. We got the 8 yr old a 110cc China made one. It has been serving us well so far (ridding a LOT in the month we have had it so far). The 5 yr old doesn't like doing the thumb trottle very long, wears out fast, so we do not have one for her yet. I have been doubling her with me on the Rancher. Don't know what else to do! Hubby just got a Kawasaki 300cc KXL dirt bike, I call it the Green Machine! He is learning how to handle it. He has been riding dirt bikes since he was a pee wee. He also is going to sell his Honda Elsinore '74 as soon he he gets the title from the previous owner. That thing is just WAY too loud to be around on the trails!

Iam hoping this family can have some safe, clean fun on these bikes! A good family thing to do together, we really have nothing else at the moment, other than camping (why not throw in the ATVs?). I am also a horse prson. I have had horses since I was 14. I recently gave up the riding horses and got Miniature Horses. I have 3 and they are trained to pull carts. So I drive minis too! They are great fun for the kids too.

I am looking for places to ride near Houston that are family/kid friendly with beginner trails/tracks for us to learn on... any ideas? I would also like to see if there is a group of ladies who would like to get togethr to ride off and on? I belong to a couple horse groups that are women only, and we have a ball! Would be nice to do that with the ATVs too! I saw a group advertised as the Mud Galore ATV Group, founded by women around here, but when you click on the name, no website! Are they no longer around?..or..? Maybe if there are any women out here who are interested in doing such a group, let me know? Maybe we can start one?

Alright, I have said enough! I am happy to be here and look forward to learning about this strange new world of ATVs!!

Hey ya'll whats up... Im new here and I am thinking about getting me a bike... I have a friend who is selling a Honda 350 4x4 for a decent price and I wanted to know if that was big enough for lift, tires, and some others to take mud riding???

Just dropping a note to say Hi and see if there are other members out there with youth riders looking to join up and ride together from time to time.

We are in West Houston-Katy and like to ride our ATV's every chance we get. My 13 year old son rides a Raptor 250, my 9 year old daughter a Suzuki 90, and I try to look like I know what I'm doing on a SportTrax 300.

It seems our preferred locations lately have been Creek Side Edge and Mud Buddy's, primarily because they have both tracks and trails. General Sam's is not too bad either. We're open to anything fun though....

Been lurking around for several months and have decided to come out of the closet.

The wife and I are retired(almost) in Abilene.

We ride utility ATVs (350 Grizzlys) and are looking for folks to ride with.

I was bike rider until a knee replacement ended that.

If anyone around wants to go riding, anywhere, let me know.

Papahouse posted about Family Motorsports Park(136 miles from me) and I may check it out this weekend if the wife unit is up for it.

The ATVs are in the toy hauler and ready to go.

New to the board. Trying to hoookup with some other sport bike riders. My wife and I just got back from a trip to Glamis where we could actually open up the throttle on our bikes. We are looking for some local spots to save us the 24 hour drive. We ride around the Houston area but I will travel a decent distance if the riding is worth it. I've been to Soggybottom, General Sam's, and Spring Creek. Next trip will probably be Mud Buddy's. It looks like it's a better place to ride. I'm also plannin a trip to the Louisiana dunes this spring.
