Brute force Camo vs Lime

I've read on some other forums that the Camo on new brutes can have a tendency to fade or rub off.. Have any of you guys had this issue? I'm looking for a color that won't show many scratches. I take care of my bikes but they will get scratched, I'd prefer a color that doesn't show scratches as bad.

rincon or grizzly 700

I currently have a 02 Quadrunner and am wanting to trade it .... I use it for work, pleasure, and hunting.. A lot of my riding in the winter is in 6''-10'' of water... I am interested in a bike that will run and run, be very dependable.... The Rincon and the Grizzly are the two that interest me at this time.. Or perhaps the Rancher AT...

I need help for folks in the know.. Which of these bikes would you choose for dependability... I need it to start and run without fail. Help !!!!

Polaris cv joint boots

I went to Mels' this weekend and had a blast....until I discovered I had torn a cv joint boot. I had previously torn another one recently in the Sam Houston National Forest. So this is the second one in two months I've had to get replaced. This is getting expensive....With the great ground clearance on the Polaris, I didn't expect to have a lot of problem with these boots....any one else ripping them up? or am I getting too adventurous on the trails? or off the trails in the woods and mud I should say...

Man I am driving myself nuts comapring all of these different Quad's. I want am looking at the Grizzly, Arctic Cat 650, and the Kawasaki Brute Force. I have ruled out Polaris and Suzuki KingQuad. I will use it for hunting, cutting paths, and pushing dirt. I figured since the KingQuad has very little towing I figure the pushing dirt might come to be a prob. Same with the Honda Rincon. I have heard Terrible things about Polaris and their honoring warranties (from the polaris mechanic at my local polaris dealership. Their sales person seemed to blame every possible defect on the rider when I asked them about the warranty. Plus I am told you are limited to their using their oils along with other negatives like the lawsuits, etc.. Anybody know any different?) I am leaning Grizzly or Kawasaki. Thanks for any advice.

I've been riding a Kawi 250 Bayou for the past year or so, and am looking at the big bore Sport Quads(660Rappy, 700V-Force, Predator, etc.) I ride mainly trail, and am looking at a '03 Rappy for about 5Grand. But i have concerns with the raptor. Since it is known for pulling wheelies very easily and is tall/tippy, what are the chances of flipping and rolling down a steep hill? Other than that i am looking at used sports that can keep up/take the big bore utes in trailing. I don't think i would mind shifting with a clutch, but i wouldn't mind the automatic V-Force either. So what is the best big-bore sport quad for trail riding(some water, mud, jumps, steep hills, etc.)??

Looking for info on ATV's -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am helping my sister in-law shop for an ATV for a B-Day present for my brother. She sort of has it narrowed down to the Polaris Sportsman 700 EFI or the Honda Rincon 650 AT or the Polaris ATP 500 HO or the Honda Foreman Rubicon 500 AT. So, does anyone have any experience with these 4 rigs? Comments? Pros of the EFI? Also anyone have a name for a contact at Polaris West in Katy that they reccomend? Scrambler 500 HO 4x4 vs. P650/P700

2 weeks ago, I raced in a local XC race, and I was beaten (by only 1 minute) by a young whipper-snapper riding a Scrambler 500 HO 4x4. I was schocked to say the least, but in reality this was my first race against that kind of machine. The local XC rules allow any 4x4 to enter the utility B class, so the fact that the Scrambler has no racks, tall suspension travel, 22" and 23" tires did not disqualify this machine from my class. Does anyone have any thoughts on just how fast the Scrambler 500 HO 4x4 is compared to a P650/P700 in a drag race, tight woods race, etc. I'm pretty sure I can take the Scrambler in a muddy XC course, but I'm a little nervous about racing it again this Sunday in another XC race. Does the Scrambler 4x4 accelerate better or handle tight turns better than the P650/P700? Any thoughts on this subject would be most appreciated. Happy trails... :)

I have a Polaris 500 and almost bought a grizzly a while back. I was wondering which is a better four wheeler over all. I have been really impressed with the Polaris with the amount of power, and the ability to get out of sticky situations.

I am 6' 205 pounds, I really like my Raptor, but I sold it because of all the probs I have heard about the '01s. What is the best sport (with reverse) for someone my size in everyones opinion? From what I can see I will be getting another Raptor, but just looking for some other opinions. I really like the YFZ, but I don't like the $7000 price tag, and it looks to be smaller than the Raptor which fits me well.

spent a week end with a Rhino

Howdy gang, I just spent the week end riding in a new Yamaha Rhino. It sure is smoth and a lot of fun to drive. We put it in some pretty rough situations and it is pretty much unstoppable. We did put it under in the creek. The gas cap doesnt fit correctly and it took some water in the gas tank. It was in deep enough that the water was flowing through the front section. It has a nice little dump bed on the back that is excellent for hauling cool refreshments. It was a lot of fun. The next thing to be done is get a dash board for it, a 2" hitch tongue, and a cover for the glove box. It is really good in the mud and will be even better with a set of 27" 589s. Access to the motor is really good. Remove the center section between the front seats and the motor is exposed. Well, have a goodun!!!!!!! :OhYeah :OhYeah :OhYeah :OhYeah

I am curious, what do people think about the 04 banshee, is there a reason why I never hear anything about people racing banshees like ya'll race the 450s and the 250r's. I test rode a brand new polaris predator 500, and a brand new banshee 350, and the banshee would put such a hurt on that polaris its not even funnny, yeah the polaris has some fancy little gadgets like a dummy light to tell you your in neutral, but the balls were not there, my little souped up blaster would give that polaris a run for its money. So why not the banshee? anyone? :dontknow

Good trail 4 wheeler

I'm looking at buying a new 4wheeler for the trails this summer and am doing some research on a couple of models. I have a '01 grizzly now that I use on the ranch but feel it's a little large for the trails. I've looked at all the brands and have made it down to 2 models. The first and most likeable one the yamaha kodiak 400. I also like the kawasaki prarie360. I have lots of time on my yamaha now and love it with no problems and the ez of maint. is great.

Wolverine for a beginner

I am considering getting my wife a Yamaha Wolverine as her first ATV. She has never ridden by herself before, and I think this would be a good choice considering it has the automatic clutch. I'm looking exclusively at Yamahas becuase I've always been a fan of their products, and I have a Raptor as well. Does any have opinions, good or bad about this bike?
