Pull the carb apart and clean all the jets. The pilot on mine was blocked solid and definately will affect mid to high revs.

Check the rubber on the slide for cracks or holes.

Re: bombardier ds 650

I'm having the same problem. I bought the bike yesterday. Was running great yesterday. Today, I took it out for about an hour. Ran it hard. (What RPM's shoud can I run this thing up to before shifting?) and after I was riding back up to the house it started acting up. 1st gear seemed to be ok, but in second it spits and sputters and then surges. Any ideas?
