    Hi Ken,

You need to slap some paddle tires on the hybrid and bring it to Splendora MX park!  They just opened a new 300' sand drag strip with guard rails, tree and timers/time slips.  Its very nice facility and alot of fun.  I went there this past weekend (both Sat and Sun) and I had a blast.  You can get directions at www.splendoraMX.com  Its not very far from Creekside Edge...probably 5 miles away I'm guessing.  I posted some pics of the new drag strip on this forum today in another thread...check them out.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to go back to the sand drag strip this weekend or not...depends on whether my wife will let me out of the house...she was not too happy that I spent both days there last weekend! lol

    Stay in touch,

    Mike

i know where SMXP is,  I used to be able to ride out there and have ridin/raced there in the past.  awesome MX track.  but these days its pratically impossible to ride out there on their MX track.  a real shame IMHO  and not worth all the tea in china to pay $20 to sand drag and the bikes only pay $15 to ride MX.  Im sure its fun and all, but I refuse to participate out of principal of the matter...

I don't understand.  Why is it almost impossible to ride on their MX track?  I was there yesterday afternoon and not many people were on the MX track...plenty of room for more riders.  I was there the weekend before and it was the same story on Sunday afternoon (not sure how busy it was on Saturday tho).

I would agree with you about the $20 cost of the sand dragstrip if it was just an empty field with a few cones to mark off the start and stop, but Splendora has nice drag strip...its the same kind of set-up as an asphalt drag strip, complete with starting lights and timeslips.  $20 is the same cost for TNT at the local 1/8 mile drag strip (Houston Motorsports Park), so I don't mind paying that cost for Splendora's dragstrip.

Please let me know if you ever change your mind and want to come out and join me for some of the fun on the drag strip. Its a good time and you usually get to see some very fast quads out there.

    Happy trails...:)

Sounds good Randy. I was just on the phone with Glenn yesterday to ask him some questions about my quad.  He mentioned your motor and also another person with a 900 (he had blown headgasket problems).  I hope you get the 840 motor back from Glenn soon (if you haven't already).

    Happy trails...:)
