Depends on what you are looking for. Crosby has plenty of mud. Creekside Edge has trails and tracks. Splendora has the drag strip, mudbogs, and MX. 3 Palms has MX. General Sams is all Mud. Get in your car a drive. Most places are an hour to an hour and a half away.

I'm kinda lookin for trails, tracks, some jumps, nice turns, you know. I have a suzuki quadsport thats needs to ridin hard. Where is Creekside edge.  I saw the mud buddy's web site, and that looks like fun. I'm gonna go check that out when I get a chance. And General Sams is on my list also, hopefully this weekend. I'm definetly going to three palms but i'm waiting on my riding boots cuz I heard we have to have full protection.  Dont know if its true.  But thanks for the response.

Three Palms is like many other tracks. The minimum is helmet, boots, goggles, and gloves. They also say you need a kill switch but I don't know if that is enforced.

Creekside Edge is on 59 North in Splendora. I wanna say that you take the East River Road exit and make the turn around and it will be on your right. The ATV track is lame...at least it was the last time I was out there. But the trails have gotten a lot better. Not a bad place to mix it up and it's real close for a day trip. Bryan and Huntsville make for loooong day trips.

I'm supposed to go to creekside edge or three palms on friday. hopefully I can make it. I just ordered my boots online and should be gettin them tommorow. THEN IT'S ON!!  I've been lookin like crazy online for all the sites to go riding and I found one in houston called Rio Bravo. Have you been there, and do they allow quads there?

Rio Bravo is a Dirt Bike only track and I'm not sure if they re-opened 

290 Cycle World is pretty close to you. It's in Hempstead. Last time I was there no one was there and the gate was open so we rode anyway. I've been stopping by periodically to see if the gates are open and they have been every time I go. MX tracks that allow quads (as far as I know). Cruise the GCQRA.com,  TQRA.com, or houstonmotocross.com websites for riding locations.

 Rio was the *** back in the day... its a real shame the way the whiney bikers have taken over.  IMHO there is no better MX track than rio..  I would by a bike just to be able to ride there.   its just one of those things... you never really understand the whole natural layout vs. man made layout until you ride rio.  it just feels right, very hard to explain and extremely frustrating I cant ride there anymore.

290 track that Matt mentioned is pretty bad ass.  we should ride there AM on the 24th... ??

The am on the 24th sounds good. I'll try to make it out there. I think i'm off that weekend.  I just got my boots in the mail and those things are hard to walk in. I dont know how you all ride in them. what are the rules there? I might go ride there on Friday to check it out, if it doesn't rain of course.

No real rules. Like I said there wasn't anyone out there the last time I checked. I can't make it on the 24th. That is the last weekend of my peewee football schedule. My last Varsity game isn't until Nov. 7. I'll try to hookup with you guys after that.

Can anyone help me find the Barker Cypress / Little York trail?,  any landmarks? nearest crossroad?

I've been out there looking for the same exact trails and could not find them. I  heard they were at the crossroads of barker cypress and clay rd. but did not find them.  If you end up finding them, please let me know where. I wanna check them out also. Good luck.

We went to General Sam's this past weekend, but it was very muddy. Kinda hard to get around on a 2x4. It was still pretty fun, but I think it will be more fun when its not so muddy, so I will be going back when it dries up some. Next place I will be going to check out is Three palms. I heard the trails are ok, but they allow quads on one of the tracks there. We'll see.
