looking to see who else is running Kawies, i have a 05 kfx700 (in the process of becoming an 840) a 04 kfx 400 (now a 440) a 06 brute force 750i and a 03 kfx 80 becuase why not.

As you already know, I have a twin peaks (same quad as the Kaw. Prairie 700).  This is my 3rd Prairie that I've owned (had 2 of the Prairie 650's prior to this one).  I just wish Kaw. would release a bigger SRA quad (something like a Prairie 800cc) to compete with the sporty 4x4's like the Renegade 800R.

WHY DO YOU LIKE THE SRA SO MUCH? WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE IRS?

Just a personal preference.  I'm sure the IRS quads have a more comfortable ride over bumpy stuff, but I like the way a SRA quad handles in tight turns and it feels more stable in off-camber situations.  The SRA just seems to handle more like a sport quad.  Also, the SRA quads have 2 less CV axles to worry about breaking after you build the motor for more HP.

well i guess we are the only two Kawie strong. well there was "The Brat" lol. no wait there was another guy asking about jetting and i told him to email me and i would hook him up, but he never did. I guess he figured it out.

 anyway, i love how my BF IRS handles over the bumpy stuff. i can blast over it where on my kfx700 and kfx440 i really have to slow down, gets a little squarlly. but i love my 440 for the mx track and my 700 im building into an 840 for drag racing mainly and some open trail riding

Big Jon has a Kawie (BF650sra).  I'm sure there are others on this forum with them too, but they haven't posted for whatever reason.

Like anything else, the IRS has its pros and cons.  In addition to more comfort, you also get more ground clearance with the IRS quad too.   If money was no object, I'd love to own a BF750 so I could enjoy some trail riding without all the harsh bumps that my twin peaks has.

Word! Proud owner here. I missed this thread somehow. Anyway, I'm with Mikey on the SRA subject. I like it better for my style of riding (wheelies and do-nuts,  LOL) but you do give up some smoothness and ground clearance. I'm not a heavy mudder or rock crawler, so ground clearance isn't that important to me. My crew normally rolls 3 deep with 650SRA's, mine's an '06, and I have 2 buddies that have an 07 and an '08. Thebigfitz is also on here sometimes, he has an '05.

I have never had a Kawi before, and was a little apprehensive because we always had Yamahammers. I have to say this has been a great bike. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. The repair ratio compared to my buddy's Popo is about 10:1 in favor of the Kawi, LOL.

Ya, I have an 05 Brute 650 SRA.  Unfortunately, it has been sitting idle in my garage since September. 

Thought I would chime in and make my 1st post here...im on Kawieriders also, but yall know that.
