WTB - Audio tube or box for ATV
I'm looking for an Audio tube or box for the rack on my 4-wheeler. I'm looking to mount it on an '08 Grizzly. I don't particularly need a stereo head unit, I just want to use an ipod for the source.
Anybody have one for sale? If so, please let me know.

Yes, something similar to these, particularly item #250261249302, which is just the box, speakers, and amp with an ipod compartment. Do you have one of these boxes? If so, how do you like it? How is it attached/mounted to the ATV? How well do the Magnadyne speakers sound?
Thanks for the info.

Re: WTB - Audio tube or box for ATV
I have the Boss and one of my buddys has the Bazooka. My tube puts out some good sound but his is louder and more clear than myn is. I got myn before they came out with the Bazooka and If I did it again I would buy the Bazooka. The only thing im not real crazy about the Bazooka is that the speakers have a foil type finish and when the sun or headlight hit it it will blind you.
Hope this helps.. Enjoy

I built mine myself. Looks just like the one Highlifter sells. I used 3" PVC and 3" marine speakers. 300W amp. Hooks into my IPOD. completely water proof. I can make you one if your interested. For a small price.

Hiya khoutx, thanks for responding.
So you made yours out of 3" huh? Sounds interesting. How does it sound? Does it have enough volume and "umphh" to be heard while out trail riding? Where did you mount the amp? I'm guessing it wouldn't fit inside a 3" PVC. Where do you put the iPod? inside the tube via a screw-on lid?
I really don't have any "big bucks" to spend on an audio tube/box. When I started this thread I was teeter-totter'n between buying an audio box/tube or a GPS for my 4-wheeler (can't afford both at the same time). I opted for the GPS - got the Garmin 60CSx with a Shrimp Mount for the handlebars.
Anyway ... I'm still interested in getting some "tunes" on my ride ... can you send/post pictures of your tube?
Peace-Out, BT

Re: WTB - Audio tube or box for ATV
DUDES DUDES DUDES LISTEN UP WOOD AND ATVS DONT GO TOGETHER.BOXES ON THE FRONT RACK ARE DANGEROUS AND LOOK LIKE POO POO. THE AUDIO PIPE HIGHLIFTER SELLS IS TOO EXPENCIVE AND THEY USE A 6" PIPE. "TO BIG" IT BLOCKS THE FRONT HEADLIGHT WICH MAKES IT DANGEROUS ALLSO. IT DRAWS ALOT OF AMPS THAT ATVS DONT HAVE TO SPARE UNLESS YOU ARE USING A STATOR OUT OF A HONDA GOLGWING OR SOMETHING.
IV BEEN USING A STEREO TUBE FROM MOTOTUNES.NET IV GOT TWO OF THEM ONE FOR ME AND MY WIFE. THEY HAVE BEEN ON OUR FRONT RACKS FOR OVER 2 YEARS. THEY OUTLASTED MY 700 KAWIE. THEVE BEEN UNDER WATER,UNDER MUD,COOKED IN HEAT, AND FROZEN IN SNOW, AND THEY STILL SOUND LIKE THE DAY I GOT THEM.IM A MEMBER OF THE REDNECK QUAD CLUB AND ALLMOST ALL OF OUR MEMBERS HAVE THEM ON THERE RACKS TOO WE LOVE THEM NO PROBLEMS YET THIER GREAT CHECK IT OUT AT MOTOTUNES.NET............

MDF will work just have to get it coated in bed liner to water proof it.. Have one with 4 8" subs and 800 watt amp on my popo everyone around can hear it... No problems with sators. I do run 2 batteries and have never ran them down.. Even with big radio and high power stobes..
