David,
I'm pretty sure you were right!! I pulled the radiator, plugged the inlet & outlet and have been soaking it in a "tote" since last Saturday. I pull it out, spray the $h!t out of it and more & more mud is still coming out of it. I did order a temp guage for it so I can keep a little better eye on the temp. and I am going to wire a rocker switch in as well to manually turn on the fan.
Must be something about that East Texas mud from the Nationals!! Us South Texas boys dont get to play in that stuff very often, closet thing we have is Mud Buddys near Halletsville, about 110 miles east of us. There aint much water riding out there but they do have some pretty tough holes.
I did have anoyher question for you guys concerning the fan? My fan seems to be functioning fine, pulls strong, no bearing noise, and I will check the brushes while it is out of the bike. What is your thought of running the fan as a "pusher" while starionary?? Im wiring a manual switch in any way and thought about adding a relay and using a 3 position rocker switch to reverse the polarity and fan direction?? I'm probably pi$$ing in the wind with this idea as it would pull heat directly from the exhaust manifold through the radiator?
Just thinking out loud here??
I found and bought a bike for my 10 yr old (06' Hawkeye from a guy I know, way too cheap and not abused) but I'm still looking for a 450 Griz for the 13 yr old as well as a Pink PoPo 50 for my little girl.
