    Fun day at Texas Mudfest!!

I had a good time on Saturday at Texas Mudfest (Gator Run park).  Thought I'd share my day at TX Mudfest and hope that anyone else who attended will post below about their experience.

In a nutshell...saw tons of people/quads, watched the mud bog event (see pic below), watched the Monster trucks riding over cars and hitting jumps, and competed in the sand drags.  I got 2nd place out of 4 utes in the 4x4 limited class.  A buddy of mine on a very fast Prairie (set up as a drag quad) beat me by a quad length or so.  The other 2 quads in our class were both Renegades...they are normally fast quads, but on this day they could not keep up due to their tires (neither one had sand tires).  Another ute showed up to race in our class, but dropped out at the last minute with mechanical problems.  Would have been fun to race him (he has a Brute Force with 926cc motor!).  Hopefully we'll get to race him in the future.

All in all, it was a VERY FUN DAY...got to see LOTS of cool drag quads including some mean Raptors built by Bob Crafton and also saw some highly modded Banshees.  Some of the quads had Nitros, some ran on Alcohol, some had wheelie bars, etc.  On a side note, Bob Craycraft was at this race watching his 2 sons race their raptors).  Weather was very nice...I got a bad sun burn tho! lol

Anyone else that attended this event, please post below.

BIG THANKS to ROBERT for organizing this event!!!  I hope to go to this again next year (assuming they do the sand drags again!).

Had a great time - wish I could have been a little bit more prepared for the drags, but I was a little busy fighting the mud battles.  Thats a great picture of the 650 final heat - and of course I 45 Racing team.  Trey, the brute with troubles will have it ready to go by Can Am Nationals in Aug.  It is a bad bike - I have ran him a few times.  I wish we had paddles for the Gades, but hey I guess I could have put some 32 Silberbacks on it and got traction that way.  Congrats on 2nd.  See you at Can Am Nationals

By the way that was a good looking jersey you had on, were can I get my hands on one?

    Matt,

    LOL...yeah, I thought you'd like my jersey! :)

Congrats to you and Seth for doing so well in the mud bog events.  Can't recall exactly which class it was, but it was very exciting to watch you and Seth take 1st and 2nd place, respectively, in the finals. (maybe it was the 650cc class as shown in the picture above?)

Lots of good races going on this weekend...anyone who missed out should definitely plan to be there for next year's TX Mudfest!

    Happy trails...:)
