    Camping, ATV and Kids

    Hello All,

I would like to get a few opinions on ridging in and around Texas.
We are looking for a great family ATV riding area to going camping for a long weekend.

We are located in North Texas (Frisco, Tx).
We have Honda Ranchers, Raptor 50 and Yamaha Raptor GYTR700.

Would like the area to have showers and maybe electric hookups.

We really like Lake Murray, but we have been there so much and we are looking for something new.

     I greatly appreciate the help.

i would recomend that you try red river in Bonham. it is one of our favorite places to go. it may be a bit small for a long weekend (3+ days) depending on how much you ride. i think it's a good place to take the family.

    chicane23,

Although it's qutie a ways for you, Boulder Creek in Marble Falls is great. See their website at: http://www.bouldercreekfarms.org/index.html

They've got about 1800-2000 (maybe more?) acres for ATVs and motorcyles, and 750 for full-size rigs. They currently estimate 48 miles of ATV trails, but folks are cutting more (we'll be out there this weekend marking some in fact). It would be hard to ride the whole park in a day.

n2dirt: have you made it down there yet? I picked up a toyhauler a month or so ago. Camped three weeks ago, and are going up again this weekend to mark trails with CENTEX ATV Club. Let me know when ya go, maybe we can meet up...

Does Boulder Creek have shower or electric hookups?

Hey John!  AI and ATV's?  I can't seem to get my Trans Am ready because the damn four wheelers take up all of my money.  I have been looking for the same kind of places as you.  I took the kids to Mudbuddy's near LaGrange and it was fun for them.  They had hookups and cabins if you need them.  We have been wanting to try some more parks too, but they have to be kid-friendly.

     Wow, small world!

What is Mudbuddy? Do you have a URL for it?
    Would you go back?

4 wheelers are cheaper and a hell of a lot more fun, trust me!

    Any good tips are great!

    Thanks again!

A nice little park about 90 minutes from my house. It is only a few hundred acres, but we had a real good time when we went there.
