Looking for advice on riding with 2 yr old. Family just getting started ATV/MC offroad riding. 5, 7, and 2 yr olds. I'm an old pro MXer from 70s/80s - rest of family no riding experience . . . yet.

Looking for advice on easy, safe places to trail ride in TX. Also looking for advice on careful, slow riding with 2yr old. We mountain bike now with him in back child carrier on full suspension bike, or in a hiking backpack child carrier. Would a UTV sideXside with a child's seat mounted be best, or a utility 4X4 2 place ATV using the hiking backpack? Anyone have advice? What do other people do (safely)? what's up? welcome. i have a 2 yr old (son) and a 5 yr old (daughter). we started when my daughter was almost 2 and we have been at it ever since. . we baught a go kart and strapped a car seat in it. it works great and is a safer than riding them on a quad. we recently purchased a utility quad which makes it easier to ride the little ones on. i use a strap to keep him close to me and from slipping. check out my album i think there are some pictures of me and my son on the go kart. where abouts are you at in tx? i'm also from so cal! as far as safe places we recently hit this spot in dallas every one talks about it's off of the 360 and trinity blvd. it was mellow at the spot we were at but there is another spot that was a bit on the crazy side. way too much traffic if you are looking to get the little started. our favorite spot is red river atv trails in ok (not muenster). if you are looking to hook up and go riding let me know! i've been hopeing to meet other families that ride with little ones!
