It is very possible that nobody knows what to tell you, or the right person just has not looked at your post yet. I actually googled it this morning to see if I could find any info for you but nothing helpful came out of it.

My "guess" would be that there is some kind of a lever or something that has to be activated to put it in reverse. If there is maybe it is stuck or hidden or something and keeping it in reverse.

But honestly I couldn't identify a LT125 if I was sitting on it....

I would guess the same thing. Look around the engine to see if you can find a lever. They are often spring loaded. On a beartracker I once owned the lever was way up front on the side of the engine and hard to see.

    Good Luck.

I looked it up on www.mrcycles.com parts diagram and it looks like it has a secondary shifter (listed under shifters) that is the reverse gear.

Maybe this link will work http://www.mrcycles.com/fiche_section_detail.asp

Go to www.mrcycles.com and look up the bike. There appears to be a secondary shift lever for reverse.
