    question about re-jetting

I am putting a Uni filter and Supertrap exhaust on my Rubicon this weekend. Will I need to re-jet the carburetor? I know running lean is not good, but what are the signs that it is running to lean? Can I start it and ride it around a while and see what happens?

    Thanks,

    avd

Best way to tell if it is lean is to check your plugs.  http://trikerdon.50megs.com/sparkplugs.htm

If it runs better with the choke on or the exhaust glows, it is probably too lean.  Best to start with a new set of plugs.

You will have to ride it because idle won't tell you if the main jets are off.
