We have new additions to the family.  This past weekend "Grammy" bought my son an '08 Polaris 400 HO Red, and herself an '08 Polaris 500 EFI Stelth Black.  Unfortunately hers will remain in the garage most of its life.  I am still stuck with the AC 500 for a little longer, but it is running for now.  This will be "T"'s first ride on his new ATV, and believe me, I have been reminded about it all week!  We will be up there Sat. morning after his baseball game.  We are looking forward to seeing every one again.

Re: Soggy Bottoms Ride May 2nd - May 4th. Mud/Crawfish

Well, no bueno on the group pricing. I talked to the owner, he said on a regular weekend he'd be able to deal a little for over 20 bikes/peeps. But because his is a special event, the price is already discounted for the weekend. Kinda figured, but worth a shot.

We should have a good group. So far I come up with 32 adults, 14 kids, and 36 bikes. Oh yeah, and a couple of dogs, LOL.

Anyone have some firewood they can bring to donate to the cause? We have a small stack of good split wood, but it ain't enough to last. We normally build a decent fire in the middle of the adult campsite for the after dark debauchery and such. I think it will be slim pickins for good wood around the park. Anything that will burn will help.

I don't know about everyone else , but i had a blast. The trails were a little dry.

But if you wanted to you could get muddy. No real carnage to speak of.

It was fun, but we could have sure used that 50% chance of rain that never came Friday.  The main trails were dusty!!!

    When is the next party?

Re: Soggy Bottoms Ride May 2nd - May 4th. Mud/Crawfish

Definitely was a good time. A little rain sure would have made it better, but there were a few holes to play in. I'll get some pics up in the next day or so. Anyone else get any they can post? The crawfish was good, even though they were a little understaffed for an all-you-can-eat event. I guees they weren't counting on people like Keith and Amy coming in there and mowing down buckets of crawfish. I will be posting the vid of Keith eating that live one.

I lost a few bucks on the AC raffle, but that's how it goes. I was a little pissed off because I found out the people that won crumpled up their ticket and threw it in the pot, and magically that was the one that got pulled. Oh, and they live a few miles down from the park. Kinda seems like a sham to me. I don't know, maybe not. But I don't think I'd have allowed that if it was my raffle. Kinda defeats the purpose of a random drawing if one of the tickets is marked. But whatever. I was prepared to lose the money when I bought the tickets.

Next ride(party) I was thinking GS's. Haven't been there in a long time. Maybe sometime in the next month or so. That and I'd like to get everyone out for a day ride at Spring Creek between now and then. It will be a little while though, I gotta put the Brute under the knife. That swingarm somehow made it through the weekend, but I'm not going to push it anymore. I've done pretty good, the machine has around 1200 miles and 300 hours and this is really the first time for something to break.
