    Willis,

Anyone still making brass break pads/shoes???

Id love a set of rear shoes for my 450s, and I have a friend with a Rincon who needs a full set.

    Hey Ricky,

I saw you called earlier. Congrats on the News for you and Mercy.

I can make some pads if we can round up some brass. Its been a while, I've just been to busy to make any.

Call me and we can talk about it.

BTW I like the pic in the avatar.

    Willis,

Re: Anyone still making brass break pads/shoes???

That looks like a good place to get stuff but I want solid brass not woven. the solid is easier to work with since you can screw it to the pads with brass screws.  I just havent heard of anyone bending it around a brake shoe b4.

Re: Anyone still making brass break pads/shoes???

I use it for disk brake pads only,,,, perfect size,,,, and I use JB Weld and overnight in a vise to assemble,,,, cost about $1.50/side as opposed to $30/side otherwise. I buy it in 3' sections and then don't have to get any more for a year or more,,,,

Re: Anyone still making brass break pads/shoes???

I've never relined shoes before but I cant see where it would be that bad. You would just have to work the brass around the shoe. The high spots would wear down pretty quick.
