    sound testing

Looks like a lot of people are racing, but not passing or even testing exhaust db. David is giving every chance to try and pass, it is tough I know, people....gotta do it or he will have to stand by his rules and you won't be racing. Check out the atvccs page for all those that have passed.

Wow there are actually some folks in the 80db range. I wonder what kind of pipes they are running?

    Re: sound testing

I was looking over the list of riders who have passed the sound test so far, and I couldn't help but notice that the Gustine family are some of the loudest racers! LOL bowrofl Big Smile hehe...just pokin' fun!

Good luck to the rest of you guys/gals that are still racin' this year in the ATVCCS.  I already miss the fellowship of hangin' out with friends at the races (including the Gustine family).

     Happy trails..:)

I was suprised and very happy with my 98.7db on the Renegade - HMF QRS with UNI and Dobeck

it sounds good and keeps it quiet - best of both worlds

    Re: sound testing

my HMF QRS is only good for 101.9 and that was after installing a new pillow packing, quiet baffel and then turning the tip sideways away from the microphone. HMF told be it would be at 100 or below........not.

    Re: sound testing

?????confused  Maybe it has something to do with mine being a V-Twin??  I know my Grizzly with HMF Utility pipe w/quiet core is louder than the same pipe w/o the quiet core on a Can Am Outlander.  Sound test proved it.

MIne was 88 point something. New 07 Honda TRX450ER, pure stock exhaust, engine and airbox. Anybody know if you can buy just the pipe defuser thats come in the HRC kit for a 450 by itself? Eddie Hills in Wichita Falls doesn't think so or they just don't want to take the time to look it up.  Anyway back to topic, I bet most pipes in the 80's are pure stock.

Try calling Altus Motorsports, they actually have good customer service unlike Eddie Hills.

    Re: sound testing

so does this mean that the lone rider in the expert class that passed sound test is practicly the season winner?

sounds like a new pro class champion already.......

I am not following you. Anyone can still get their Quad sound tested and if they scored points before the third race (thru the race they use their free pass) those points still count. So Shawn is still out front, all he will need to do is come in and get tested. In fact since he didn't race the last race he still has his "one free pass" so his bike doesn't have to pass untill the race after the next one he makes.
