I just sold my 400EX, now I have to get somthing else before I can go riding again...

I am new to Fort Worth and I am looking for places to ride. Where exactly in Meunster is there good riding? Is that the closest riding to Fort Worth?

It is about 1 1/2 hours north of Fort Worth, www.redrivermotorcycletrails.com we are planning a trip up on the 26th of this month if you want to tag along and ride.

JBH, have you been out to the trails near 360 and Trinity?  It's certainly not RedRiver, but it's a good place to ride.  Not only is it fun, but it has two HUGE advantages over RR;

a.) it's close (save on your gas bill) and
b.) it's FREE to ride (gott'a luv "free")

I have seen it while driving past on 360 but wasn't sure if it was okay to ride there. Do you get harrased by the cops at all? Is the only way to get out there from 360? Have you been out to Marshal Creek on lake Grapvine or Rocky Ridge in Decatur?

Google Earth shows a really nice bird's eye view of the trails, check it out.  You can find it by looking in the SW corner of the 360 and Trinity interchange.

To get there from 360, take the Trinity exit and go west.  Turn south on Tarrant Main St.  Cross the RR tracks and your there - Tarrant Main dead-ends into the parking area.

I'm not exactly sure how "legal" it is to ride there, however, it seems to be an "accepted riding area".  I think the problem is liability.  From what I understand, that area has recently been incorporated by the city of Ft. Worth, so folks riding out there may pose as a liability issue for the city if someone gets hurt.

OK, it looks like I'll have another quad in 11 days and 8 hours. If everything goes through I'll be up at Red River ATV on Saturday the 24th.

Looks like Christmas came early. I bought it yesterday and went riding today. It was such short notice that I didn't want to bug anyone. Next tome I go I'll post it up here in case anyone else wants to go. Here are some pictures of my new ride and some pictures of it negotiating the trails today:
