We are proud to announce Texas Mudfest coming to Gator Run Park on May 1st-4th 2008. We will start off the Championship Mud Racing tour. We will have Mudda Cross under the lights Friday night, youth class mud bog, and the CMR pro/am mud bog. We will have Monster Truck shows Saturday and Sunday, concert, Giveaways, ect. Are there many mudbog racers on this forum?

 I think im the only mud racer on the forum....I will try and make the event 

Sounds like a fun time, but I really wish this event also included ATV mud drag racing or ATV sand/dirt drag racing.

Gator Run has a good sand drag area with lights and rails. If you can help out in getting a couple of racers together, I will get a purse together and hold a sand drag.

Thank you for considering my suggestion!  If you don't mind, I'll start a new thread on this forum to check interest in having a sand drag race at your event at Gator Run...I doubt there will be a problem finding racers, especially if there is a purse involved.

Your welcome, I found the post on Highlifter also and will reply and get the message out. I will get someone to sponser the event for the purse. There will be alot of national sponsers and the event will be nationaly televised..........Look in the upcoming Quad Magizine they have also done a write up on the CMR and Texas Mudfest.

As expected, folks are interested in doing an ATV sand drag race at the Texas Mudfest!  I hope you can put this sand drag race together for us...should be a fun event!!!   Some folks are already asking what kind of classes you will have the sand drags...(like sport quad, utility quad, stock class, open class, etc.).  Do you have any idea what classes you might use?

I do not have classes set up, I am new to the sand drags. I am looking for a reputal organazation or club to run this event. I will fund it and still prep the strip. I do want it to be ran top notch. Thank you

I like the new Mudfest logo that is posted on your website (www.Texasmudfest.com).  However, I noticed that this website didn't list the ATV sand drag race yet.  I assume this event is still in the works though.  Thanks for all of your hard work in putting this event together, and please keep us posted on the status of adding sand drags to this event.  I think there is more and more interest everyday for the sand drags!

I would be glad to help you set up classes. I have interest from several people if the drags are held. I'll see if our local powersports shop owner would be interested in running the event. He has already said that he wanted to compete and is spreading the word. He runs Red River Sand drags and has alot of racing experience. You may want to consider posting on Planet Sand forums. I will just about guarentee that you would have an excellent turnout. Just got to spread the word.

Thank yall for all of yalls help. We will have the Sand Drags. I will have it added to the website soon. I just need to get the details ironed out. I'll try to get it added in the Quad Magazine and Atv Rider article coming out in April. My main problem is having someone to run the event, classes, heats, ect. I'm new to the sand drags but sounds like a great event to add to Texas Mudfest. The event will be nationally televised and the CMR is producing a dvd on all of the CMR events for 2008.

I just spoke to Damon Hampton the powersports shop owner who helps run Red River Sand Drags. He said he would be interested in running the event but had several questions and needed to talk with the promoters. He is a friend of mine and has been involed in racing quads for a long time. Thank You for the number for Damon. He seems to be a sharp guy on these sand drags. We are talking about racing Saturday afternoon and into the night. The sand drags out here at Gator Run Park are all loose sand, with rails and lights. There is an announcing box about half track also.
